WomenIn

In January 2016, the AIAS Foundation unveiled its WomenIn initiative: a collaborative effort to attract, retain and advance women in the Interactive Entertainment industry by supporting education and professional development programming.  This initiative provides support to female students and early career gaming professionals through our mentoring program, education and scholarships.

Our aim through this program is to double the relative participation of women in the games industry by 2025.  We support the creation of opportunities for careers in the video game field and foster an early spirit of inclusion.  We strive to achieve the following through WomenIn:

  • Increase the percentage of qualified women entering game development
  • Decrease the number of women leaving the gaming industry
  • Promote best practices for inclusion in the workplace throughout the Interactive Entertainment Industry
